Both good and evil can gain the upper hand by making well-timed sacrifices.

Advanced -
Mastered the art of lying to your friends? Our storytellers will guide you through an advanced script with complex characters and abilities. Madness, poisoning and trickery are abound in this game!

Introduction to Call of Cthulhu

Step into the shoes of an unfortunate ferry passenger whose trip goes awry amidst sinister circumstances in 1920s America! Or find yourself on the deck of a deserted steamship heading for the Scottish coast on a wintry night in 1941! These beginner scenarios for Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu role-playing game will introduce you to the rules and gameplay as your Keeper of Arcane Lore guides you through a mysterious investigation rooted in H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. Horror and madness (and maybe worse?) await! Spaces are limited so get in quick!

Mega Game

Dread Crusade is a journey megagame for 15 to 50 players. In this five hour game you can take on the role of a leader in a crusade, traveling to liberate a holy city from a Dread Lord, in a world with elves, dwarves, goblins, and magic.
Players must manage the competing interests between different factions, acquire food and fodder to keep the crusaders fed, survive battles, and try to find the agents of the Dread Lord hiding within their ranks. Some challenges on the journey can be overcome through force of arms, others can be handled by diplomacy and bribes.
The conclusion of the game is unscripted and will be determined by player choices and their consequences, but hopefully the crusade will reach the holy city for a final battle with the armies of darkness and the Dread Lord.

Pathfinder

Learn to play by running through the tutorial Beginner Box together and slay some monsters for a good cause! All proceeds go to Te Omanga Hospice. An experienced DM will guide you through characters and mechanics; please feel free to bring your favourite dice if you'd like, but characters, miniatures and dice will be supplied. This adventure is using Pathfinder 2E

These two events are run by psychology lecturers/researchers Shaun Garea and Ross Hebden from the Gaming Research and Investigation Laboratory (GRAIL) at Massey University. Their focus is on cooperation in games.
